CN-002: Temporary Repairs

All staff are reminded that a temporary repair becomes a permanent repair after eighteen months, provided nobody looks directly at it or asks when the correct component is arriving.
Items currently secured using cable ties, insulating tape, folded card, strategic pressure or an object placed underneath another object are considered operational. They must not be disturbed without written authorisation and the presence of somebody who remembers what was wrong originally.
The phrase “it has been fine like that for ages” constitutes a completed inspection.
