TB-007: Equipment Classification

TECHNICAL BULLETIN / TB-007

With immediate effect, all equipment must be assigned one of the following service classifications.

Serviceable: operates normally without negotiation.
Limited Service: operates when held at an angle, struck lightly or addressed firmly.
Field Repair: one or more cable ties are present.
Beyond Economic Repair: a replacement has already been purchased.
Reserve Stock: broken, but retained for a component that will never be required.

The existence of smoke does not automatically alter an item’s classification. Personnel should first establish whether the smoke is new.

Action required: classify all equipment accurately and continue using it as before.
